Handling
BLENDEX 81 T can be applied by most common applications systems, like reverse gravure, direct gravure used for solvent adhesives. Suggested formulation is: 100 parts of BLENDEX 81T + 17 parts of CURING AGENT W3 DIL.
The suggested dry coating weight depends on substrates and final application and is up to 50 g(dry)/sqm for laminated items with rough surfaces, suitable for thermal treatments.
Before the lamination process, the coated adhesive must be completely dry. Oven temperatures and heated air volumes depend on the production speed. A laminating temperature of 60-90°C is sufficient to achieve proper adhesion. Crosslinking starts immediately after lamination and, at room temperature and standard humidity, it ends after 48 hours.
Equipments should be cleaned immediately after use with Ethyl Acetate or MEK.
BLENDEX 81 T can be diluted to proper viscosity with Ethyl Acetate or MEK, containing less than 0,2% of water.
